JAMMU, Feb 12: A delegation of BJP Kashmir Displaced District led by Ajey Bharti ex.MLC and BJP spokesperson, Hira Lal Bhat district Seh Prabhari and Chand Jee Bhat, district president KDD called on Arvind Kerwani, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants) here, today .
The delegation discussed various issues of displaced Pandits with him. BJP spokesperson Ajey Bharti said that displaced community has high expectations from him and expressed hope that he will resolve long pending issues of the community.
The various issues discussed by the delegation were enhancement of cash assistance to Rs.25000/ per month to eligible displaced families, creation of employment opportunities including fresh employment package, skill development of unemployed displaced youths and facilitating their absorption in private industries at various places, implementation of Social Welfare Department schemes, ICDS schemes, Agricultural schemes, drinking water supply in TRT Nagrota, TRT Jagti and Durga Nagar , genuine criteria for allotment of shops in camps, release of ration, sugar and relief before Shivratri and restoring of supply of Atta to Relief category displaced people, providing of accommodation to package and non package employees in Valley with foolproof security arrangements, updation of Website of Relief Organization, streamlining of administration in the organization to keep unscrupulous elements within and outside at bay, shifting of Relief Zone office at Udhampur to a convenient place and paying personal visits to all camps take the on the spot stock of the problems of repairs , cleanliness etc.
Kerwani assured that his priority will be to provide a transparent working and sensitive administration to meet the expectations of the displaced community. Other members of the delegation included Moti Lal Bhat, H.K.Razdan (district general secretaries), Vimal Raina, Sanjay Bhat, Rakesh Sadhu, Chetan Wanchoo (district vice presidents) P.K.Bhat (district treasurer), J.L. Pandit (district spokesperson) Roop Krishan Koul, Rahul Koul (district secretaries), Chaman Lal Pandita (district office secretary) Dolly Raina (KDD Mahila Morcha president), Piarey Lal Pandita, Bhushan Lal Raina, Phola Ji, Sunil Kher (Mandal presidents).
