SAMBA, Feb 12: Former Minister and JKPCC vice president Yashpal Kundal today said that BJP dashed all the hopes of unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Kundal who visited various Panchayats of Rajpura block under Ramgarh Assembly constituency, interacted with the people and heard the problems of the people. During this, people talked about the increase in electricity bills, water shortage, rising inflation, unemployment etc.
Addressing the people, former minister said that ever since the BJP government has come into power, every section is troubled. Be it middle class or BPL category people, everyone is troubled. He said that the Electricity Department is sending arbitrary bills to people’s homes, but the supply is not sufficient.
Kundal said that daily wager employees of various departments are continuously protesting for their just demands. The government is ignoring it. People are not getting electricity. People are not able to get clean drinking water.
Congress leader said that inflation has increased so much, cylinder prices have reached the sky. Now women are forced to collect wood again. He said that the dream of the youth of border areas to join the army has been shattered by the government by starting the Agneepath scheme. Kundal said that the results of the students who have appeared for different posts are not coming out. Scams are taking place only in the BJP government which claims to be corruption free.
Kundal said that since independence, people have been supporting themselves by farming on the land, but till date they have not got the ownership rights. He said the government should give ownership rights to the people before the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, he said that the people whose land is in front of fencing have not received compensation for many years. These people should be given compensation for their lands as soon as possible. Kundal said that the Congress Party stands with the people of the state and the unemployed students. Kundal appealed to the people to vote in favour of the Congress Party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
