KISHTWAR, Aug 18:  Dist-rict president of Bhartiya Janata Party, (BJP) Kishtwar, Akshay Kumar, has expressed his strong resentment over the refusal by the authorities to allow him to attend the District Development Board (DDB) meeting of district Kishtwar yesterday.
In a statement issued here today, he said first of all, the authorities are to be blamed for having sent the intimation of DDB meeting at Kishtwar to MP and Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh at a very short notice of just 18 hours, even though the guidelines clearly state that the date should be intimated well in advance for mutual convenience of the MP. The guidelines also state that in case the MP is not able to attend the DDB meeting, he can nominate a person to represent him, he added.
Since the Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh could not have attended the meeting at Kishtwar at such a short notice of just 18 hours and since he was already committed to attend the inauguration ceremony of new Airport terminal at Jammu on the same day, i.e  August, 17 “I was nominated by his office to represent him at DDB meeting in Kishtwar”, Kumar said.
