JAMMU, Feb 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated the announcement of its Lok Sabha candidates by the party high command.
On his arrival at Jammu after being announced as party’s candidate for forthcoming Lok Sabha election from Jammu-Poonch constituency, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma alongwith Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria and State general secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul was given a rousing reception by senior leaders, State and district office bearers, MLAs, district and morcha presidents, cells conveners and hundreds of party activists drawn from different areas at Jammu Airport.
Jugal and Khajuria were garlanded, offered bouquets and later a procession was taken out to the party headquarters.
Jugal Kishore Sharma was joined by party’s candidate for Kathua-Udhampur Parliamentary constituency and State chief spokesperson Dr Jitendra Singh.
Sharma said that coming general elections are a big challenge as we have to win at least 272 seats for fulfilling the dream of every Indian to see Narendra Modi as next Prime Minister.
He said that Modi has earned the distinction of being a man of development and will work for achieving India’s rightful place at international fora, upliftment and welfare of poor, farmers, SCs, STs, OBCs, mitigation of the grievances of refugees, migrants, women and strengthen the social fabric.
Sharma appealed the people to support and vote BJP candidates to give India a strong, honest and committed PM to sail the nation out of turmoil.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that a vote for BJP is vote for India because BJP is the only option available before the voters to liberate the country from mis-governance, corruption and dynastic rule.
