BJP backstabbed aspirations of Jammu people: Arun

VIJAYPUR, July 29: Senior Congress leader Arun Sharma today held a public meeting at village Khadrkal near Sarore in Samba district where people highlighted several local issues and demands before him.
While addressing the public meeting, Arun Sharma held then PDP-BJP Government responsible for all miseries of general masses who were ditched by their elected representatives.  He alleged that despite getting huge mandate from Jammu, BJP backstabbed aspirations of Dogras and surrendered before PDP for the lust of power.
“Now when Lok Sabha polls are approaching nearer and Panchayat as well as Local Body elections are also round the corner, the BJP leaders are once again trying to polarize the masses  so that attention from real issues can be diverted,” he said.
Highlighting public grievances, Arun Sharma drew attention towards bad condition of roads and lanes besides erratic supply of power and water.  BJP failed on all fronts and its ministers in then Government only concentrated to make wealth and personal properties, he alleged and urged Governor N N Vohra to order an inquiry into the corruption charges against BJP leaders.
Urging people to teach BJP a lesson in the forthcoming elections, Arun Sharma stressed that only Congress can give a people friendly and development centric Government in Jammu Kashmir.
On the occasion, people highlighted local issues, such as non-availability of Government ration, scarcity of drinking water, frequent power cuts and low voltage, no medical facilities, bad condition of road, lanes and drains etc.
Those who spoke on the occasion, included Tarsem Lal, Joginder Lal Sharma, Rool Lal,   Gopal Krishan, Salim Mohd, Amit, Bela Ram, Hens Raj and others.
