JAMMU, Apr 26: BJP State president and MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma has called upon the UPA Government to make its policy clear as far as China is concerned and ensure that the repeated incursions by Chinese troops and People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are stopped forthwith.
In a statement issued here today Mr Sharma while reiterating that no political party is in favour of escalating the stand off following Chinese intrusion in Daulat Baig Sector of Ladakh, he said the Government should ensure that the UPA troops occupying the area are immediately asked to withdraw.
Mr Sharma said that Vajpayee led NDA Government had followed consistent foreign policy towards China and Pakistan but ever since the Dr Manmohan Singh Government came to power there has been only confusion on both the fronts. As a result of this, China has been repeatedly violating the LAC and Pakistan is also continuing with its mischievous designs on the border.
Expressing his solidarity and full support with the patriotic people of Ladakh, Jugal said that BJP has setup a very strong party unit in Ladakh which is working in coordination with the local people who are repeatedly at receiving end of Chinese aggression.
Meanwhile, terming UPA Government as weak to tackle China intrusion in Ladakh area, the party vice president Vibodh Gupta has urged the Government to boycott import of all China goods.
Issuing a press statement, Gupta termed China intrusion as serious threat for the national security and has expressed anguish over the stoic silence maintained by the UPA Government on the issues concerning the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
He said that UPA is managing flag meet with China which is not a proper response of the intrusion. The Red Forces have occupied 10 kilometers area inside MacMohan Line which is violation of international boundary agreement.
