KISHTWAR, Apr 26: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) and senior Congress leader Ghulam Mohd Saroori visited Drabshalla and Chatroo areas of the district.
“An effective mechanism to register people’s grievances at block, tehsil and district levels should be put in place so that action could be taken to redress the grievances”, said Saroori, while addressing gathering at Chatroo and Drabshalla.
Saroori appealed the Chief Minister and CAPD Minister to provide 3 month free ration to people in erstwhile district Doda where dry spell had caused 80 percent to 90 percent damage to crops.
He also distributed cheques worth Rs 12.25 lakh at Drabshalla among 163 beneficiaries under BRGF and 22 beneficiaries under MPLAD at Chatroo and Rs 16.74 lakh among beneficiaries under BRGF and MPLAD at Drabshalla and also distributed 200 Indian Youth Congress (IYC) membership cards at Drabshalla.
