SRINAGAR, Apr 26: Scores of casual labourers from Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department today protested against the Government decision to disengage them what they alleged without any reason.
The protesters said that they have been working in the department from last seven years and blamed the Director for disengagement.
“We are serving in the department from last seven years, but without any reason the director wants to disengage us,” Sarwar Hussain, president Casual Labourers Union said.
The protesters threated to intensify their protests if the department didn’t change their decision of disengaging them.
The Casual Labourers Union appealed the Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir to look into the matter personally and do favour for these poor people.
