Former MLA Gurez, others join BJP

JAMMU, Mar 21: J&K BJP has called for a successful “Janata Curfew” tomorrow in Jammu & Kashmir on the call of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The appeal was made by BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina, at a press conference here, today along with former party State president, Sat Sharma, party general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul, former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta and party J&K general secretary, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal.
Raina asked the people across J&K to follow the “Janata Curfew” tomorrow from 7 am to 9 pm. He urged people not to move out of their homes during this period and asked all the civil society and various other organizations to encourage citizens to follow “Janata Curfew” and stay inside their homes. He termed this is as part of major tactic to stop spread of virus outbreak by breaking the chain of cross infection.
Raina, asked the masses to aware all the persons in their contacts and surroundings about ‘Janata Curfew’ and various advisories to prevent spreading of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). He appealed the masses to show their appreciation to various medical, paramedical and cleaning staff by standing in the balconies at 5 pm on 22nd March and clap for five minutes to express gratitude to such people.
Meanwhile, former MLA from Gurez, Faqir Mohammad Khan joined BJP. Senior Congress leaders from Arnas, Sansar Singh Sarpanch (Sarpanch), Sunny Sharma (Youth block president) and Umesh Singh (senior Congress leader) along with Sunil Sharma from Reasi also joined BJP.
Ravinder Raina, welcomed former MLA into the BJP and said that Sheena community has always remained a patriotic community and the region will be developed fully now. He also appreciated new entrants from Arnia and Reasi into BJP. He said that due to Coronavirus outbreak only symbolic joining has been done, but soon after the things get eased out, there will be massive felicitation programmes.
Faqir Mohd. Khan, said that the people of Gurez are very optimistic of PM Modi’s policies. He said that Gurez lacked many amenities till now but he is assured that all issues will be resolved under BJP Government.
BJP vice-president Yudhvir Sethi, former MLC, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, secretary Arvind Gupta, office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta, media secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, protocol incharge, Sanjay Khanna, district president, Vinay Gupta, former district president, Kuldeep Dubey and Makson Tikoo were also present on the occasion.
