JAMMU, June 2: Bhartiya Janta Party Anusuchit Jaati Morcha organized 44th Balidan Diwas of Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath who made supreme sacrifice on his life.
Jagal Kishore Sharma, MP was the chief guest while Ashok Khajuria (MLA) Jammu East , Joginder Lal Bhagat , chairman Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath Memorial Trust , J&K and Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA, RS Pura were the guest of honour.
Surinder Bhagat, State president, BJP SC Morcha, J&K said that reservation was not given to SC, ST socially and backward area, ex-servicemen and physically challenged since 1950 to 1970. He further demanded backlog should be given to reserved category. 12% reservation be given to SC community being large population in the State.
Puran Chand, advocate general secretary, BJP SC Morcha, J&K addressing the gathering said that State Government has allotted six seats for MPs and four seats for Rajya Sabha. He said that out of these 10 seats to be reserved for SC members. He demanded due share for them.
The function was attended by Ashok Koul, Romesh Arora, Bansi Lal Bharti, N D Rajwal, Chand Bhagat, Kamal Kumar, Tej Ram, Sewa Ram, Dr Surjeet Kumar, O P Bhagat, P C Sangra, Krishan Lal, Sat Pal, Faqir Chand Azad, Rajan Bhagat, Ajit Gill, Lokesh Bhagat, Anil Bharti and Jagdesh Bhagat.
