BJP activists should work hard to fulfil commitments of party: Raina

JAMMU, May 9: BJP today held a meeting of all the presidents and vice-presidents of various councils and the committees of Jammu region, at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina chaired the meeting, which was also addressed by sitting MP from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta, State general secretary (Org)., Ashok Kaul, Mayor (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta, State general secretaries, Dr. Narinder Singh and Yudhvir Sethi and Dy. Mayor, Purnima Sharma.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, asked the BJP leaders to ensure that every party man should work hard to fulfil the party’s commitment of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas”. He emphasized on the duty of elected representatives to solve the public issues efficiently and on the priority basis.
He asked them to incorporate various innovative techniques for the improvement of the facilities in their respective areas of operation. Always ensure direct interaction with the masses, he advised all party representatives.
Raina, prompted them to transform their respective committees or councils as new example of advancement in the region. Laying stress on the role of these local bodies for the development of the city, he prompted all BJP leaders to put extra effort in living up to the expectations of the public.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, said that public has developed faith in the party due to the relentless efforts of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and we need to live up to the image by taking effective steps on our part to address the public issues.
Kavinder Gupta, in his address, said that due to the self less service by BJP leaders, the party has won almost all the councils and committees in Jammu region. “This has provided us with an excellent opportunity to serve the masses in a direct way and we must utilize the opportunity”, he added.
Ashok Kaul, in his address sought the feedback on the working of the respective committees and councils and their interactions with the common masses. He discussed various ways in length to improve the facilities being given by different agencies to the masses and suggested ways to improve upon them.
Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta spoke on the various steps taken by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to provide better amenities to the public. He said that the JMC is working hard, with innovative ideas to improve its services in the sectors like cleanliness, garbage disposal, mosquito control and above all decongestion of highly congested city roads.
