An order issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) stated that the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for inter-cadre deputation of Mukesh Singh, IPS (AGMUT: 1996), from the AGMUT cadre to the Manipur cadre has been approved for three years.
The order further said that the mandatory “cooling off” period after central deputation has been waived in public interest as a special case. Mukesh Singh belongs to the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre and has served in several key positions during his career. He is presently serving as the DGP of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
