Birth anniversary of Monglishwar Bhairav celebrated with fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Apr 29: Sri Monglishwar Asthapan Prabandhak Committee Sirnoo Monghama Pulwama today celebrated the Birth anniversary of Sri Bhairav Maharaj here at Geeta Bhawan Muthi with full religious fervour and gaiety.
In this connection a grand function was organised in which scores of devotees drawn from different places thronged the Bhawan since early morning. A ritualistic Birthday Puja of Sri Bhairav Maharaj was performed under the guidance of noted religious scholar Amar Nath Raina. All the devotees attended the Maha Arti and sought blessings from their ‘local Deity’.
Highlighting the need for maintaining a balance in today’s scenario of mechanized human life, Baskar Nath Bhat – president SMAPC urged the community youth to sensitize themselves about the role or their responsibilities in shaping and preserving the future of this socio-ethnic group. He emphasised the need to remain connected to the roots and pursue values to preserve the spirits of oneness.
Mahant Sri Govind Ji Goudia Math Jammu , Swami Radesh Dass Ji gave an eloquent discourse on the Vedic philosophy. The engrossed devotees were enlightened his presentation which revolved around the need to maintain Sanatan way of life strictly.
Socio-political activist and general secretary, SMAPC, Sunil Bhat explained the necessity of harmonizing certain efforts of fellow community activists in trying to rebuild our destroyed temples and other religious properties back in Kashmir. In this regard, he informed the devotees about the formation of Dharmik Sankalp Samiti for Pulwama district. He shared that issues regarding renovation of temples at Murran, Gadbug, Trisal, Pinglena, Drusoo besides Sri Monglishwar Asthapan Sirnoo Monghama have been raised with the concerned authorities. He hoped that matters are adequately attended by the concerned agencies and works are undertaken earnestly.

Another programme was arranged at the original site of the Asthapan in Kashmir. Many devotees descended at the temple in Sirnoo Monghama in Pulwama district and offered prayers there.
