JAMMU, Aug 12: Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi (BDSA) J&K celebrated 91st birth anniversary of Babu Parmanand, founder president of BDSA and ex-Governor of Haryana.
B.R Kundal, ex-Chief Secretary of J&K was chief guest on this occasion while Ashok Angurana, R.K Bhagat and G.R Bhagat-all retired bureaucrats were guests of honour.
Proceedings of the programme were carried out by Dr. Vijay Bhagat, secretary BDSA and he talked on the life and services of Babu Parmanand.
Advocate Ashok Barotra delivered speech on Baba Sahib B.R Ambedkar and his services for the nation.
More speakers while speaking on the occasion urged the gathering to follow footsteps of great personalities like B.R Ambedkar and Babu Parmanand.
Balwant Kataria, H.R Phonsa, Gagan Jyoti, P.L Bhushan, Nagar Mal, Advocate Ashok Bhagat, Uttam Chand Digra and others also spoke on the occasion.
