JAMMU, Oct 22: State vice-president, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Women Wing, Bimla Luthra today expressed grave concern over sufferings of the people on various fronts due to the legacy of governance deficit of the BJP and PDP, saying that there is immense need of addressing to their accumulated grievance on fast-track basis.
“While PDP-BJP dispensation was solely responsible for mismanaging administrative apparatus for their vested interest, their divisive politics caused a gap between various segments of the society”, Luthra said while addressing the party workers at village Jinder Mellu in RS Pura tehsil.
Luthra urged the Governor’s administration to focus on development with special attention towards ensuring the regulated power and drinking water to the people. She also sought replenishing adequate quantity of standard ratios at the CAPD sale outlets especially in remote and rural areas. “This is imperative in view of the ongoing festive season”, she said, adding that market checking should be intensified to ensure regulated supply of essentials at reasonable prices.
While discussing the organizational affairs, Luthra exhorted the workers to play their role in preserving time tested unity and amity between various segments of society, which she said has been guiding philosophy of National Conference.
She said Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah throughout his life strived to nurture this spirit of composite ethos and it is incumbent upon people of the State in general and the NC cadre in particular to maintain it at all costs.
The various other speakers also called for meeting the challenges confronted to the State by preserving glorious ethos of J&K.
