JAMMU, Dec 17: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Rani Gargi Billoria today adopted Government Girls Middle School (GGMS) Raipur of Bhalwal block of Raipur-Domana constituency.
After taking first hand appraisal of the school, she said there is a dire need to upgrade the basic infrastructure of the school. Initially laying of tiles would be started soon and later other facilities should be upgraded.
While addressing the students, MLC Rani Gargi Billoria asked the students to set a goal and ideal for their life and work hard to achieve the same with dedication. She advised students to seek knowledge from learned staff of the school to become responsible citizen of India.
MLC also asked students to maintain cleanliness in school and their adjoining areas. Students from poor and down trodden are seeking education from these institutions and must get every help so they can become respectable citizen of society, she added.
She assured the prominent people of Raipur, staff and school children that she will provide every help to improve quality of education and basic infrastructure.
On request of social activists Vishal Sharma, Sunil Sharma and other prominent people, she announced to adopt GGMS Raipur. Initially laying of tiles would be started in ground of school so that students can play and take part in other activities even in rainy days.
Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh, Sarpanch Bhalwal, Rajdev Singh Jamwal, Incharge GGMS School Joginder Singh Manhas, Sarpanch Kuljeet Jamwal, Panch Ashutosh, Mahant Rohit Shastri, Sanjeev Bral, Kuldeep Rana and staff of school were also present on the occasion.
School teacher Shashi Sharma conducted the proceedings of programme.
