JAMMU, July 30: BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria visited Ward 73 Azad Nagar, Mahakali Nagar in Gandhi Nagar constituency area and took stock of the problems being faced by the local residents due to the poor condition of the road.
Local residents told Billawaria that even after many years of independence from Mahakali Nagar to Ashram the construction work of this road has not been done till date. While interacting with the people, Billawaria assured them that their grievances would be addressed and much needed basic facilities will be provided to them.
He informed that he has asked the officials of concerned departments to immediately prepare estimates and take up the works for remaining roads in the area. He said a fruitful discussion was held with the people and many things came up during the interaction where locals have stressed upon taking up some utmost important works in the area and it will be seen that these works are taken up and completed in a stipulated time frame.
Local residents of Mahakali Nagar raised the demand to build a Sauchalaya in Daswan Ghat in front of the BJP leader. Billawaria assured people that construction work of the Sauchalaya at Daswan Ghat in Mahakali Nagar would also be done soon after talking to the concerned department.
People alleged that Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) does not de-silt nallah properly and malba has accumulated in the nallah which has become a problem of water logging. Billawaria assured people that the officials of JMC would be made aware of the non-cleanliness of nallah and the problem would be resolved soon.
Billawaria said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working to make people’s lives better and every effort will be made to improve the living condition of people. He said that soon after the BJP Government came to power at Center, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi gave free gas connections to the poor, Sauchalaya were constructed for poor, Krishi Yojana, Jan-Dhan Yojana and scheme for women were launched, direct money was deposited to farmers accounts, Mudra Yojana and many schemes reached the general public.
