JAMMU, Feb 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria here today started the work of laying paver tiles and construction of drains at Ward number 56, Jawala Ji Colony.
Speaking on the occasion Billawaria said the work is being done to provide basic facilities to the residents of the area and to make them aware about cleanliness and hygiene.
He said that with the deteriorated condition of the lane, the passersby were facing hardships while walking through the area now after completion of this construction work people will get a lot of relief.
Billawaria directed the concerned Engineers and contractor to complete the work within stipulated time by using best quality construction material.
The Dy. Mayor also highlighted various government initiatives taken to ensure better quality of living in the city.
He further said that Swachh Bharat Mission has been successful in providing a clean and hygienic environment to people and this development will also help in making the area cleaner and healthier.
Mandal president, Ranjeet Singh; M.L Raina, Suresh Mishra, Suriender Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
