JAMMU, July 15: Chairman Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started construction work of lane and drain near Dashmesh Bharti Public School in Sector-6 of Ward Number 56 in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
The construction work will be executed by UEED Department.
While speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that he inaugurated the street when Gangyal was a Panchayat and he was elected as Sarpanch in 2001. After about 19 year, I got the privilege of starting the development work of this area again, whereas the sad fact is that nothing had been done for the development of this area in past 19 years, he said.
Billawaria said that the people demanded the construction of lane and drain in this area and accordingly the UEED Department was consulted, adding that a plan was prepared for it and today the process of work has been started.
He appealed to people to wear mask while going out of their house as COVID-19 is spreading like a wild fire in Jammu and Kashmir.
Harbans Choudhary, Ranjit Singh, Surjeet Kumar, ML Raina, Rakesh Sangral, Abhinandan Sharma, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Ashok Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Balwan Singh, Hardeep Singh, Kavaljit Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
