Billawaria kick starts construction work of culvert

JAMMU, Apr 3: BJP senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started construction work of culvert over the canal passing and connecting Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Digiana in Ward 58 of Gandhi Nagar constituency. Billawaria said that there was an old demand of the Gurdwara Management Committee and the local people which had been met.
He said that it was a narrow culvert due to which the people had face trouble in their movement due to jam. Now the construction of this culvert will benefit the people of the area. He said that the demand for laying blacktopping from main road to the inner road of Model Town area has also been met. He said that construction of the bridge has been started today by the Irrigation & Flood Control Department with an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakh.
Billawaria said that the pace of development had slowed down due to COVID-19 but now again the development started gaining momentum even though earlier many development works have been done in areas which are giving great relief to the people.
He said that Corona has once again spread and appealed people to use masks, maintain social distancing and use sanitizers as these are the most effective ways to avoid infection. He said that people should also trust the Corona vaccine and there is no need to fall into any confusion and doubt about it.
Earlier Billawaria kick started the construction work of laying water pipes in the presence of Jal Shakti Department officials at Gangyal area. He said that the laying water pipes line will end the people’s potable water problem completely in the area. He mentioned that more projects are in the pipeline and will be executed in a time bound manner. He said that development is the mantra of the Modi Government and we are committed to get all kinds of development done in the area of Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Billawaria was accompanied by former councilors Paramjit Singh Pammi, Ranjit Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Abhinandan Sharma, Jugal Kishore, Rakesh Sharma, Om Nath, Ashok Pandita, Lucky Manhas, Manzoor Ahmed, Mamta Razdan, Gurdwara Management Committee members and other local resident of the area.
