JAMMU, May 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria along with Naib Sarpanch, Avtar Singh Chib, former Panch Hans Raj held a public darbar at Raipur Satwari, under Jammu South-RS Pura constituency where he listened to the public grievances.
A number of intellectuals and other people of the area attended the Darbar, highlighting numerous problems faced by them. Some issues were resolved on spot while others were communicated to the concerned department officials, who assured that the same would be resolved at the earliest. The main demand of the residents of the area was to upgrade Raipur High School from 10th to 12th class. Local residents told Billawaria that a board was installed the school for 10+2 during the tenure of Congress-NC led State Government but till date the Raipur High school was not upgraded. Billawaria assured that the demand would be taken up with the LG Government so that the children don’t face any kind of inconvenience related to studies.
Billawaria said that such regular contact programmes enable representatives of the public to have a better knowledge of problems faced by the public. He assured people that all their demands would be met as soon as possible and steps have already been initiated to provide basic amenities to the public.
He said that all Government schemes will reach doorsteps of public. Billawaria, while noting public grievances, said that BJP at the Centre, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is working tirelessly for the development of the nation. He said that BJP follows the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas and is committed to alleviate the sufferings of the people at all levels. Later Billawaria visited the Maa Vaishno Devi temple at Raipur Satwari and listened to the Committee members in the presence of a large number of local residents. Maa Vaishno Devi Mandir Raipur Committee sought Billawaria’s cooperation for the construction of the lane, gate and shed of the temple and he assured all support.
