JAMMU, Dec 7: BJP senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria called on Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Dheeraj Gupta and discussed the problems which are being faced by the people of Jammu city with him. Billawaria discussed the development works and schemes being carried out by the Corporation in various areas of Jammu and sought information about their progress.
He also apprised him about some important suggestions made by the people of the Jammu city. Billawaria urged to fast track the ongoing development works under Smart City Project and said that there is a need to start some more development work in various wards of Jammu city.
Billawaria also said that on the eve of New Year there is need to improve the sanitation system of Jammu city and also said for fogging in each ward of Municipal Corporation properly. He said that there is an urgent need to repair and install new street lights in various areas, so that the inhabitants of the Jammu city can celebrate the New Year with more joy. Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Dheeraj Gupta listened to all the problems and admitted that there is need to improve many more things and give on spot directions to concerned officers to improve the sanitation system and repair the street lights of different areas on war footing.
