JAMMU, Jan 5: Police today arrested a biker along with poppy straw (bhukki) from RS Pura.
As per police sources, a team from RS Pura police station laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AL-5337.
During checking, police recovered poppy straw (bhukki) from the possession of the rider and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Tarsem Kumar, son of Manohar Lal, a resident of Motay, RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 4/16 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Ashwani made the arrest under the supervision of SHO RS Pura police station Inspector Bhushan Manhas, SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
