Bike rider killed, 5 hurt in accidents

REASI/ UDHAMPUR, Oct 10: A bike rider was killed and two others hurt as motor-cycle was hit by tractor trolley near Reasi while three persons were injured when two cars collided near Kud on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today.
A police spokesman said that three youth including two real brothers were seriously injured when a motor-cycle No. JK08Q/3856 was hit by a tractor trolley No. JK-20/5436 at Traintha, about 2 kms from Reasi on Jyotipuram road this afternoon. All three boys were rushed to Reasi hospital where doctors provided treatment and then referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu. One of them, however, succumbed to injuries on the way.
The deceased was identified as Jugal Kishore (25), son of Prithvi Raj, resident of Kundra. Two injured are- Tanveer Zaffar and Imtiaz Zaffar, sons of Muzaffar Hussain, residents of Mahore, at present Reasi. While the tractor trolley driver escaped from the spot, the police seized the same and registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured one of the seriously when two car collided near Kud on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this afternoon. The police said that an Alto and a Beat car met head on collision near Tamatar Morh in which three persons sustained injuries including drivers. Seriously injured, Asha Devi, resident of Gandoh was shifted to Chenani Hospital and later referred to Udhampur District Hospital.
