AKHNOOR, Nov 22: A youth was killed after his bike collided with a truck near Bhamla under Akhnoor police jurisdiction late this evening.
A police spokesman said that the mishap took place when 22-year-old Ajay Kumar, son of Kuldeep Raj, resident of Rah Salyot was going towards Bhamla from Sunderbani side on his bike No. JK02AL/8741. A truck No. JK8A/9184 was also going towards Jammu from Sunderbani side at. At Dakhadda Morh, the speeding bike collided with the truck from back. The boy received serious head injuries and died while being shifted to nearby Sunderbani hospital.
The truck driver escaped from the spot while Chowki Chora police seized the truck. A case has been registered in this connection.
