JAMMU, Apr 6: Two unidentified bike-borne youth snatched a woman’s purse containing gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs, a mobile phone, and Rs 3100 in cash, from Jewel Chowk area here today.
The victim Meenu Verma wife of Ishant Sodhi of New Plot Jammu claimed she was waiting for a bus when two bike-borne youth arrived from a distance and snatched her purse containing the ornaments, mobile, and cash.
On the complaint of the woman, a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and further investigations have been taken up, said a police official.
