JAMMU, Apr 6: During a protest demonstration here today, Dalits of J&K torched the effigy of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu claiming that he passed wrong remarks about Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
DOMA Confederation president, R.K Kalsotra urged the Central Government to extradite Pannu to India and prosecute him under SC/ST Atrocities Act.
He further said that Pannu’s extradition and prosecution will have significant implications for inter-community relations.
Bansi Lal, Ashok Bhagat, Ramesh Sarmal, Dr Ramesh Kainth, Dr Rajinder Thappa, Suresh Bangotra, Karam Chand, Bishamber Khullar and many others were also present in the protest.
