Bidhuri visits Kishtwar, reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt

KISHTWAR, Sept 24: Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, today visited Kishtwar district and chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review functioning of Revenue Department.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav; ADC, Kishori Lal Sharma, SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, SDM Paddar, Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, SDM Marwah, Dr Mohsin Raza, Tehsildars and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on status of writing and digitisation of Jamabandis, change in land use, retrieval of state and Kachari land, functioning of Patwar Khanas besides revenue related issues were also deliberated upon.
Addressing the officers, Commissioner Secretary underlined the priorities of the Government like digitisation of Jamabandies, online delivery of various revenue services and other public friendly initiatives recently started by the administration to bring transparency and accountability in functioning of the department.
He also stressed on timely digitization of land records and directed to deploy additional manpower in this regard. He said that all the services being provided by the department in manual form will be shifted onto web based portal for increased transparency and convenience to all stakeholders.
Commissioner Secretary stressed on ensuring speedy disposal of all the files regarding the change in land use.
While reviewing the status of Government land retrieved so far, it was informed that 36457 Kanal and 12 Marla of state land has been retrieved, so far.
Similarly, Commissioner Secretary was also briefed about the status of Kachari land retrieved. He asked the officers to speed up the illegal encroachment removal drive and advised them to erect documentary evidence on the government land to avoid illegal encroachment.
He also stressed upon the officers for evolving a mechanism aiming strong monitoring of evacuee land for its better safeguard and gainful utilization.
Regarding functioning of Patwar Khanas, the meeting was informed that Patwar Khanas in all Revenue villages have been made functional in the district and revenue services are being provided to the general public at the doorsteps.
Later, Commissioner Secretary inspected various Jamabandi Digitization Centres, interacted with revenue field functionaries and stressed on digitization of land records in stipulated time.
