Bhim Singh visits Saddal village in Pancheri

UDHAMPUR, Oct 3: Chief patron of National Panthers Party (NPP), Prof Bhim Singh today visited Saddal village in Pancheri where land slides hit over twenty five houses and also met the family members of the victims and other families which have turned homeless and temporarily placed in camps at Kasuri and Panjar villages.
Prof Singh met the affected families and listened to their grievances. The NPP leader alleged that the people of the area have not been rehabilitated by the Government and mostly NGOs and people were rendering them help. The villagers narrated their woes and said that some of the families at their own had managed to flee the area.
Bhim Singh alleged that had the DC Udhampur acted in time the lives of the other people could have been saved. He pointed out that there were no adequate medical facilities available and the helpless people are forced to drink muddy and unhygienic water. Some NGOs have provided the tents and other facilities. He said the suffered families, have not received any relief from the Government, only private individuals or some NGOs are donating them ration and other things.
Later, the NPP supremo visited Pancheri area where several delegations met him and projected the local issues. He assured them to take up the matter with the concerned authorities.
Later, Prof Singh also met the MLA Udhampur and other NPP activists, who have launched hunger strike at DC office Udhampur, seeking relief and proper rehabilitation of the flood and rain victims of district Udhampur. Prof Singh garlanded the MLA and lauded his mission for the cause of public. He also paid visit to Reasi, Dera Baba and Pouni where he met the other flood rain affected people.
