JAMMU, July 31: Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party has initiated a proposal to hold an All Party Conference in J&K in the interest of democracy, rule of law and assuring return of all fundamental rights to the citizens of India residing in J&K.
According to a handout, issued by JKNPP, Prof Bhim Singh has spoken to several political parties including the leadership of all the recognized political parties in J&K and the leadership of all other national recognized political parties operating in J&K. He has appealed to the political leadership in J&K to join the next get-together somewhere in J&K to work out a common strategy to launch a political movement seeking support of all non-BJP political parties in the country so that democracy is restored in J&K which has been deprived of all fundamental rights under the illegal law like Public Safety Act and other laws which work in violation of all fundamental rights in J&K.
Prof Bhim Singh made a strong appeal even to the non-recognised political parties working in J&K to support the political movement for restoration of democracy, rule of law and implementation of all fundamental rights guaranteed by the Indian Constitution. “Come and join the movement for restoration of State of J&K as it was founded in 1846 by Maharaja Gulab Singh, restoration and application of all fundamental rights guaranteed in Chapter-III of Indian Constitution with immediate removal of so-called Public Safety Act so that all political prisoners under PSA shall be released forthwith with compensation,” he said, adding that the movement shall also mobilise national opinion in favour of holding immediate state election by the restoration of statehood of J&K among other things.
