KISHTWAR, Jan 14: A social activist and chairman, Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU), Joginder Bhandari, has urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Muft to fulfill her election promises which she had made with the youth before coming to power.
Bhandari said before coming to power the CM had committed to start major hydroelectric projects viz Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kawar and Rattle but first even after three years of PDP-BJP rule, the work upon the power projects is still hanging and there is unrest among the unemployed youth of district Kishtwar.
Bhandari appealed both the Centre and the State Governments to immediately start these hydro power projects so that the youth of district Kishtwar could seek employment opportunity. He also demanded reservation in employment to local youth in CVPP as already directed by Legislative Council headed by MLC Kishtwar, Firdous Ahmed Tak, in the recent past.
