JAMMU, Nov 15: The head priest at ancient Bhairav Nath Ji temple, Chowk Chabutra in heart of old Jammu city has said that Bhairav Ashtami will be celebrated on November 27 this year with religious fervour amidst all the rituals.
In a press conference here today Pandit Rumil Sharma of Bhairav Mandir said that he has allotted duties to the volunteers to make the annual event of the temple a grand success.
“On November 21 (Sunday) Prabhat Pheri (religious procession) will be taken out from the temple at 6:00 am amidst chanting of devotional songs and it will pass through Maha Lakshmi Mandir of Pacca Danga, Hanuman Mandir of Moti Bazaar, Ranvireshwar Mandir at Shalamar, Ram Mandir at Purani Mandi and then will return back to the Bhairav temple,” Sharma told reporters.
He also said that Kaal Bhairav Ashtami fast will be observed on November 27 and congregations of 52 Biradaries (communities) will also be held on the same day.
Sharma also said that there will be special Pooja whole night till 6:00 am on November 29 and the devotees will get special blessing of the deity after that.
The organizers have also made arrangements for Langar for the devotees.
