Refer news item ‘Bhaderwah-Bani-Basholi road project may jump 2017 completion target’ DE Dec 16.
It is quite dismaying that this road has not got the same priority as do Mughal Road. What Mughal Road is to the people of Rajouri and Poonch, Bhaderwah-Bani-Basholi road is to the people of Bhaderwah and Bani. The road is not merely going to promote tourism in the area, it is going to provide connectivity to these areas with rest of India. Presently people here are facing many hardship due to deplorable condition of the road. Patients are the worst sufferers. They have to bear great deal of ordeal while shifting them to health centres located at far off places.
People have to encounter many hardles while shifting goods from one place to another. To mitigate the problems of people living in this remote area, the Government should direct the authorities to construct the road on war footing basis. 2017 is quite far.
It is requested to the authorities to expedite work on this road so that people feel quite relieved.
