RAJOURI, Mar 25: Expressing concern over the dilapidated condition of the roads connecting the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) and Post Graduate (PG) College with Rajouri town, BJP State vice president Vibodh Gupta said that the authorities concerned have adopted a criminal silence towards the deteriorated condition of the 8-km and 4-km stretches connecting University and PG College respectively to other adjoining areas.
Criticising Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, sitting MP Madan Lal Sharma and MLA Shabir Ahmed Khan for the bad condition of the roads connecting these prestigious educational institutions, Vibodh said, “Omar, being Chancellor of the University, accompanying other Cabinet colleagues, uses only aerial route to visit BGSBU. He should visit these institutions by road and realise the plights being faced by the student community”.
Taking into consideration the resentment among the students and locals during his visit to the Dassal, Khoera, Chowdhary Nar, Dani Dhar and Danhore villages, as a part of the election campaign, Vibodh warned the authorities of serious consequences if any untoward incident occurs on these two roads. He demanded that the two roads should be repaired at the earliest.
