JAMMU, Apr 6: Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan president and former Minister Ch Lal Singh today cautioned the people to remain aware from the motives of national parties.
Addressing series of election meetings at Bhag-e-Bhau, Gorkha Nagar and other areas of Jammu West today, DSS president said that PDP, NC and alliance partner Congress has laid a dreadful trap to divide people of the State on the basis of sects, communities and regions. He cautioned the people about sinister motives of the national parties to fragment people of Jammu province on the basis of religions.
Lal Singh further said that people of Jammu have to understand the dreadful trap where the Kashmir centric parties have divided the areas of the Jammu as Peer Panchal and Chenab belt. They are trying to project that these regions are a part of Kashmir, while the fact is that every single citizen of these areas is the Dogra and now the people of the area have understood that irrespective of his religion, language and sect we all are Dogras.
DCC chief criticized the two sitting MPs for doing nothing for welfare of the people of Jammu region. He said that BJP got massive mandate from Jammu region but failed to deliver the people. BJP got 3 Parliamentary and 25 Assembly seats, but it is unfortunate that BJP showed least concern towards people of Jammu in general and those who sacrificed their lives in Amarnath land row agitation, in particular.
He alleged that similar torture and harassment also happened with the people of in Rassana in the tenure of the BJP and this Government was not able to convince Mehbooba Mufti for CBI probe of the incident. All the sitting ministers were worried about the power and did not care about the people of Jammu.
Lal Singh also took out on-foot road show in Trikuta Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Nai Basti and Satwari area today and sought support of the people.
