JAMMU, Apr 7: With the sole objective to explore possibilities of setting up a Common Facility Centre (CFC) and Cluster of Industries in the J&K State, a delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) led by chairman of FOIJ and president BBIA Lalit Mahajan and along with MD J&K SIDCO and others visited CFC and Cluster of Packaging Industries at Hyderabad.
On the directions of the Commissioner/Secretary, Industries and Commerce Shilendra Kumar with the purpose of setting up Common Facility Centre for the industrialists and also raise cluster of industries in the J&K State, this visit was organised. MD J&K SIDCO Amit Sharma coordinated the entire visit. The aim is to provide opportunities to the J&K youth to set up their own units after providing them required training. The CFCs shall also provide opportunity of skill development to the local youth.
The delegation visited CFC and Industrial Estate at Hyderabad being run by Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India formerly known as (ALEAP) under the presidentship of Rama Devi Kanneganti who is also a member of Prime Minister’s Task Force on MSME, Govt of India.
During the visit there, Mr Mahajan and Amit Sharma besides other delegates interacted with the president of the Association in respect of various facilities being provided to the prospective lady entrepreneurs to set up their own units. The CFC also provides skill training in various fields like garments manufacturing, IT sector, handmade jute bags, food processing etc.
The delegation also met MV Bharat, president Andhra Pradesh Corrugated Box Manufacturers’ Association in respect of cluster of around 80 corrugated boxes manufacturing units set up by their member units.
Prominent among those who accompanied included Ajay Langar- general secretary BBIA, Ajay Gupta, Rajesh Jain and Ajay Bansal.
