JAMMU, Dec 11: A student of BBA 1st year today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Talab Tillo area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, Chand Gupta (20) son of Koushal Gupta, resident of Rajouri, at present living with his sister in a rented accommodation at Bharat Nagar (Talab Tillo), was found hanging with the hook of the ceiling fan at his present residence, this afternoon.
He said that as no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC while the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
The spokesman said that deceased youth was a student of BBA part -I in a private college here at Jammu.
