UDHAMPUR, July 19: Local villagers today protested against worst condition of PMGSY road from Upper Battal to Ladyala in Udhampur district, which is under construction for the last several years.
According to the villagers, this is the only road which connects them with Udhampur and other localities of the area. Even as this road was supposed to be completed five years back, the concerned contractor didn’t complete first phase of this road. Though public has registered complaints to the department a number of time and even in Meri Sadak app, no action was taken against the contactor.
“In the rainy season, condition of this road is so worse that we can’t walk on this while children find them unable to reach schools,” the villages rued.
