Bari Brahmana police solves blind murder case, arrests accused

SAMBA, Oct 23: Bari Brahmana police has solved a blind murder case committed in its jurisdiction within 20 days of commission of crime by arresting the accused person.
Police said a reliable information was received at Police Station, Bari-Brahmana on the intervening night of 3 and 4 October this year, that one driver namely Kuldeep Singh, son of Vir Singh of Balsambandh district Hissar, Haryana, had received grievous head injury and was admitted in GMC Jammu. The Investigation Officer Sgct Sham Din from Police Station, Bari-Brahmana immediately deputed to GMC Jammu for recording the statement of victim but the same could not be recorded as the victim was unconscious, Police added.
Later the victim was shifted to his native place Hissar for further treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said as the death of the victim had taken place under suspicious circumstances, an Inquest proceeding U/S 174/CrPC was initiated at P/S Bari Brahmana to ascertain the cause of death.
It said on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba and under the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari-Brahmana, a police team of P/S Bari-Brahmana led by Enquiry Officer, SI Ashish Sagar was constituted and deputed to Hissar, Haryana for further proceeding into the investigation. During the course of enquiry conducted by EO, it had surfaced that the deceased had in fact been murdered by one Anoop Kumar, son of Phool Singh of Balsambandh district Hissar, Haryana owing to his old rivalry and was accompanying with the deceased person at the time of commission of crime near Sudhir Genset factory, Kala Gate Bari Brahmana.
On the basis of the enquiry, inquest proceeding has been converted into FIR No. 192/2018 U/S 302 RPC which got registered at Police Station, Bari Brahmana and a massive manhunt was launched by the Special Team of P/S Bari Brahmana to nab the murderer. The team so constituted raided different locations many times in and outside the State (Bhiwani, Rajasthan, Hansi & Hissar, Haryana) and finally succeeded in apprehending the accused from Lakhanpur, district Kathua.
SHO P/S Bari Brahmana, Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal has taken up further investigation into the case.
