RAJOURI, Oct 23: The police seized two vehicles along with five bovine animals, being smuggled towards Kashmir near Manjakote last night.
A police spokesman said that a police party from Manjakote during naka intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK01AC/ 6776 on Rajouri-Surankote highway and found three bovine animals loaded in it. The police seized the vehicle and arrested its driver, Shazad Ahmed, son of Khalil Ahmed, resident of Mendhar. A case was registered against him.
The same police party seized yet another vehicle No. JK11A/1308 along with two cattle including a buffalo and calf being transported illegally. Its driver Gulshan Kumar, son of Dewan Chand from Dangri was arrested and a case registered against him.
