Bar continues to suspend work in courts

JAMMU, Aug 30: The agitation launched by the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu continued with suspension of work by the lawyers in the High Court, Subordinate Courts and all other Courts & Tribunals.
The office bearers of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu and the Young Lawyers Association, Jammu met today to take a review of the Jammu Bandh which was successfully observed yesterday. The office bearers of the Bar expressed their satisfaction over the massive support given to the Jammu Bandh call by the people of Jammu including Traders, Transporters, political and social organizations.
It was a matter of satisfaction that the entire lawyers community in Jammu Province suspended works in all the courts and held demonstrations in support of the High Court Bar Association, Jammu on the issue of construction of multi storey building in Janipura Courts, Jammu for housing all the judicial work—-Registration, CAT, DRT, AFT and other Tribunals within the court premise and similar facilities in other District level and Munsiff level courts in the entire Jammu Province.
The office bearers of the Bar Association expressed anguish over the complete silence maintained by the Government in resolving genuine issues projected by the Bar Association.
The office bearers included M.K. Bhardwaj (President), Mohinder Pal Singh Pali (Vice President), Surjeet Singh Andotra (General Secretary), Aditya Sharma (Joint Secretary), Amandeep Singh (Treasurer), Rohit Sharma (YLA President), Gagandeep Singh Lucky (YLA Vice President), Yaseer Farooq Khan (YLA General Secretary), Karanjeet Singh Johal (Joint Secretary YLA) and Naresh Kumar (Treasurer YLA).
