JAMMU, Jan 24: J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, has demanded postponement of the mains examination of Prosecuting Officer in view of present prevailing COVID-19 (Omicron) pandemic situation.
The issue was discussed during a meeting of the Bar Association, convened today in the J&K High Court Complex, Jammu, under the chairmanship of M K Bhardwaj, Senior Advocate & President, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu as the Bar Association received a number of representations from the aspirants of the Prosecuting Officer Examination 2021 regarding postponement of the main examination in view of present prevailing circumstances.
The Bar Association unanimously resolved that the present situation is not cordial to conduct the main examination of Prosecuting Officer in view of the community spread of COVID-19 (Omicron) variant as the same is reflected in the recent Central Government Health Committee Report. It was also pointed out that examinations is to be conducted by the PSC from 31-01-2022 to 10-02-2022 and many of the reports are suggesting that the same period is the peak of 3rd wave and in view of the same it is impossible for the aspirants of the PO main examination to participate in the present circumstances.
M K Bhardwaj urged the Chairman, Public Service Commission, J&K to postpone the main examination of Prosecuting Officer in view of present pandemic circumstances.
The meeting was attended by other office bearers of the Association, namely S M P Singh Palli (Vice President), Surjeet Singh Andotra (General Secretary), Aditya Sharma (Joint Secretary), S Amandeep Singh (Treasurer), Rohit Sharma (YLA President), S Gagandeep Singh Lucky (YLA Vice President), Yaseer Farooq Khan (YLA General Secretary), S Karanjeet Singh Johal (YLA Joint Secretary), Naresh Kumar (YLA Treasurer) & others.
