JAMMU, Dec 21: High Court Bar Association Jammu has expelled Advocate Deepika Thussoo alias Deepika Singh Rajwat from primary membership of the Bar for her misconduct and indiscipline.
A decision in this regard was taken after an executive meeting of the Bar Association, chaired by president M K Bhardwaj, wherein Deepika Thussoo appeared in response to a notice following a complaint filed by one of the members against her.
While responding to the notice, Deepika allegedly showed disrespect to the senior members of the Bar Association and openly declared that she was not answerable to anybody including the JKHCBAJ.
Taking strong exception to the tone and tenor of her language and disrespect shown to the Bar Association as well as its members, the JKHCBAJ unanimously resolved to expel Deepika Thussoo from the primary membership.
