Let , at the outset, those in charge of the security arrangements to oversee the safe passage of the CRPF convoy to and within Kashmir explain about the breach in the system which resulted in the car blast near Banihal which was aimed at repeating the Pulwama type of attack. This cannot be and should not be treated as lightly , however, it is a matter of great relief that no one got injured or no harm took place. Equally, the Police authorities have done a commendable job in nabbing the suspected militant who had taken a lift in a tipper on way to Kashmir slightly before being nabbed at an alert naka.
There were reports that the militant had sustained minor burn injuries in the blast before fleeing from the spot. The culprit is identified as Owais Amin , a resident of Shopian in South Kashmir. The militant was , however, arrested within 36 hours of the triggering of the blast . The reports are that two blasts were planned in the car and when the first blast took place , the militant sustained burn injuries and ran away. The culprit has confessed that he had been tasked to trigger the blast by ramming car into the convoy of the security forces. It is likely that suicide bomber makes confessions and revelations about the details of the over ground workers who too must be apprehended as soon as possible.
