Bandh continues in Rajouri on 5th day

RAJOURI, Oct 10: While the dialogue between the BJP, VHP and SD Sabha leaders  and the administration remained inconclusive, a bandh continued in Rajouri town on the 5th consecutive day today.
The shops and other business establishments remained closed in protest against the arrest of  some BJYM activists  and registration of attempt to murder case against nine youth of one community including BJYM district president and others. They are demanding that cases against them be withdrawn and those arrested be released unconditionally.
The leaders of these organizations are also demanding that all those who pelted stones on the RSS activists be arrested. The administration rejected their demand claiming that law will take its course. The Divisional Commissioner and even the IGP and DIG failed to break the deadlock during a meeting yesterday.
On the other hand, members  of  Muslim Welfare Association demanded that FIR should not be dropped and all those involved in the murderous attack on two brothers should be brought to justice.
A senior BJP leader Kuldeep Gupta when contacted said that talks with the administration have failed. They have not given us some assurance. Therefore, bandh will continue till the demand is accepted.
