Ban sale of non-veg items during Navratras: SS

JAMMU, Oct 1: Ahead of the auspicious Navratras of Maa Bhagwati, starting from October 3, Shiv Sena (UBT) today demanded a ban on the sale and serving of non-veg items in restaurants.
The demand was raised by SS party chief J&K, Manish Sahni in a press conference held here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahni appealed the meat sellers and restaurant owners to keep their shops closed and not to serve non-veg items during the Navratras keeping in mind the religious sentiments of Hindus.
SS leader also demanded the Municipal Commissioners and District Officer to issue instructions on this issue keeping in mind the religious sentiments of Hindus.
President Mahila Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, President Kanghar Wing Raj Singh were present during the conference.
