JAMMU, Jan, 4: Balwant Thakur, the Director of Natrang, has been invited by West Bengal Government to participate in the National Theatre Seminar being held in Kolkata from January 6 to January, 11 at the historic Minerva Theatre, Kolkata.
Organised by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal, this unique National Theatre Seminar will feature 11 top directors of the country including Balwant Thakur who will address one full session each on the approaches and processes of theatre from the conceptualization to the presentation of their respective creative works through lecture, audio visuals and presentations. Balwant Thakur- a global name in the field of innovative theatre has established his own signatures in theatre and the world community of theatre practioners are curious and keen to know the dramaturgy which Balwant Thakur has devised over the last 30 years of his intense practice, creative encounters and experimentations.
Other directors who are being featured in this National Seminar include M.K. Raina, Neelam Mansingh Choudhary, Behrul Islam, Usha Ganguly, Sanjay Upadhayay, Meghand Bhattacharaya, Debesh Chattopayay, Bratya Basu and Arun Mukhopad-hayay.
