Bali hands over scooties to ‘differently abled’ persons

JAMMU, Sept 12: Promoting a noble cause to help the disabled, former Minister and MLA Raipur-Domana, Bali Bhagat handed over TVS Wego scooties to three “differently abled” persons of Raipur-Domana Constituency.
The beneficiaries include Akshay Sharma of Seri Panditan, Bharat Bushan of Lower Barnai and Amit Sharma of Bantalab. Accompanied by a large number of people, Bali Bhagat handed over the two wheelers in the presence of officials of Social Welfare Department, besides social and political activists.
Speaking on the occasion, Bali Bhagat said, “It is our duty to help these people who lost their ability to walk properly due to mis-happenings in their life. These initiatives help them to travel anywhere freely without the help of others”.
He said there are also certain schemes in Social Welfare Department under which disabled persons are provided with relief. “In the coming days all such persons will be located in the constituency and every possible help will be provided to them through these schemes”, the MLA added.
District Social Welfare Officer Jammu, ex-district president BJP (Rural) Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, district vice president BJP (Rural) Joginder Singh Chib, Ved Prakash, Kuldeep Singh Chib, Mukesh Sharma and several others were also present.
