JAMMU, Apr 1: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Bali Bhagat today strongly condemned the former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for undermining the Constitution of the world’s largest democracy i.e. India which secures the welfare of every Indian citizen right from the common man to the top in governance.
In a statement issued here, today the senior BJP leader said, in fact it is the PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti has been undermining the Indian Constitution and the judiciary by making such rubbish remarks. He said that the statements issued by her these days result of utter frustration due to fear on account of enforcement agencies initiating legal action against the higher ups in politics who have amassed massive unaccountable wealth through Hawala transactions or by supporting terrorists and secessionist elements.
Bhagat regretted that a person who governed the erstwhile State of J&K under the Indian Constitution till yesteryears has upped her ante even against Judiciary.
Instead of issuing such rubbish statements Mehbooba should have appreciated the Union Government as well as the UT administration headed by the Lt Governor for proactively initiating measures against such leaders , he said.
The former Minister said that everyone, right from the lowest to highest level should be made answerable to law irrespective of the fact whether it is an ordinary labourer or any former Chief Minister. He asserted that anybody directly or indirectly involved in supporting terrorism or secessionism should be made to face the law.
The senior BJP leader asserted that NIA’s disclosure on PDP youth leader and close aide of former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for his involvement in secessionist activities has indicated a bigger role by the party in keeping the secessionist movement against the Union of India on the boil. He said adding that people should now understand the difference between nationalist and the ‘secessionist’ political parties.
