REASI, Apr 13: In a significant step towards strengthening educational infrastructure and rural development, MLA, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi constituency, Baldev Raj Sharma today visited Panchayat Tote to identify suitable land for the construction of Teachers’ Quarters at Government Higher Secondary School Tote.
During the visit, the MLA personally inspected the site and, upon finalizing the land, immediately initiated the construction work for the Teachers’ Quarters, which will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 76 lakh. This initiative reflects his unwavering commitment towards improving facilities for teachers and enhancing the quality of education in remote areas.
Baldev Raj Sharma, known for his visionary leadership and tireless dedication to public welfare, emphasized that better infrastructure for educators is essential for building a strong academic environment. His proactive approach and on-the-spot decision-making once again showcased his deep concern for the welfare of both students and teachers.
The visit was conducted in the presence of Tehsildar Bhomag, Zonal Education Officer Reasi, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Tote, Executive Engineer, PWD Reasi along with their staff, Chowki Officer, Sarhi, Sarpanch Laldeep Singh, Sarpanch Pawan Singh, Mandal president, Bhuri Singh Nag, and a large number of local residents.
Further highlighting his commitment to holistic rural development, the MLA also announced that Panchayat Tote will be developed under the “Viksit Village” initiative, under which developmental works worth Rs 2 crore will be undertaken. This announcement was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation by the local populace.
